The $150,000 Qantas cadet courses in 2019

The media reported Qantas plan to start their own flying school; venue to be decided but start date 2019. Plan is to graduate 500 cadets a year. Understand candidates pay for own training $150,000. Employed by Qantas on graduation with CPL, provided all QF assessment criteria met.
Is the money up front or over the duration of the course?
