PNG IREX exam

Anybody able to help with pointers for the PNG IREX exam?

This would be a good starting point. Primarily Part 91 with some stuff in 61.

CASA PNG have possibly changed their exams recently. Part 135 would also be worth studying.

Good thing about the PNG regs is that they are very easy to read and understand, not like the Australian regs.

If you have any problems, suggest that you speak with their FOIs (if you can get in touch with one), they are very approachable and willing to help. Great bunch of people.

As of a couple of months ago the exams were largely unchanged, still being based off the old rules.

Your operator should be able to give you some good study notes, if not sing out and I see what I can did up

Folks,
Duck Pilot is spot on.
The Australian taxpayers did a great job in paying for the NZ rules to be put in place in PNG, as the previous Australian rules were considered to be increasingly unworkable, inflexible etc., and not ICAO compliant.
To add to the irony, a bunch of largely ex- AU CAA people did the job, very ably headed by Doug Roser.
