I see they are looking for some NZ Captains, is the non-rated before tax monthly salary of $7,422 less than previously offered? Seems very low to me...

Its not less than previous. Its pretty standard entry level pay round here but will potentially go up.

At the moment that figure is for less than 1k hours PIC on aircraft over 13t from memory, don't quote me. It's a bit more if / when you have over that.

The crews are being 'done to death' which is why (after 18 months) the J* operation would fail if it weren't for Eastern/Sunstate Captains going over there to fill in the gaps.

Bull**** rosters and crap pay! Well done! Great recipe for success! Pilots are leaving faster than they can be recruited!

And as if that's not crap enough; consider this: Some Eastern/Sunstate Captains are expecting to gross over 200K this FY! This is because when they fly over in NZ they accumulate allowances like nobodies business!

So if you take the job as a Q300 Captain, earning the crap pay on offer, just consider the Aussie guy/girl next to you in the crew-room earning double what you're earning for doing the same job.

Perhaps if the pay were better, less people would be leaving? What a concept!!

Does anybody know what the starting salary for an F/O is on the Q300 with JQ? Also, is there a bond for training and if so how much it is? Cheers.
