Definitely apply to the RAAF by all means, but the point I was making was not to have the RAAF as one's ONLY option as the acceptance rate is very low.

Yeah.
I've just been astounded when I talk to some younger than me (I am not old) who want to do things but due to a perceived low likelihood of success do not even try. Which I will never understand. Obviously do not rely on succeeding in a particular path and have back up plans to back up plans, but I find things only become impossible when we have that perception.
