Thanks for that info, that's a shame.

This bit is interesting:

Facilitation of the future aircraft tracking requirements (independent of ATC systems) that have come about since the MH370 tragedy.
Interesting in that it has been assumed by many that the transponder on MH370 was turned off or disabled, which includes ADS-B.

You have been pedalling that fear campaign for thirty years!

On a further point to Dick, this facility was explored by the Canadians over a decade ago for their need to provide a service for trans polar flights coming into their airspace. Methinks part of the Hudson Bay trial.
