ACTIVATING MY OZY ATPL

Hey guys,

I need help with info on activating my frozen oz atpl...i did all my initial training in Perth and hold a CASA CPL ME IR with frozen ATPL. I currently hold a Kenyan ATPL and would like to activate my Ozy ATP... I understand CASA has introduced some new rules which include a flight test. I am unable to get a breakdown of what i will be required to do...anyone who has done it under the new rules or is familiar with the process? Please help....

Cheers

Whoever told you that you have a frozen ATPL led you up the garden path.
You have a CPL and ATPL subjects....period. There never has been a frozen ATPL in CASA land.
Do a search further down this page and into the next and you will get all the information (and, of course because this is Pprune, disinformation) that you need. On the CASA website let Part 61 be your guide. And if you can make any sense of it let those of us who are still confused into the secret to unravelling it.

EDIT: Upon re-reading your post I see that you already have a Kenyan ATPL. If that is an ICAO recognised licence, a better way to proceed may be to sit ATPL Air Law, do a Class One medical and apply for a straight conversion. There may be other obstacles like MCC if you have no prior multi crew experience, but you never know until you try it on.

There is no such thing in Australia. You may hold a pilot licence, be it a PPL or CPL with passes in ATPL theory but that's it.

Whatever you do, don't put "frozen ATPL" in your CV or resumé to any Australian employer.

Who wants to give me a job to thaw it out?
