Well said Jaba.
That was out of line Yr right. Its a student pilot...or for comparison for your side of the industry..an apprentice.
Yes this apprentice went flying as signed off by his tradesman.
Maybe the tradesman made an error in the sign off...who really cares.
The apprentice learnt his lessons from the tradesman well, and when it turned to croc and the pressure was on, he performed very well.
The fact the wheels fell of the Jab wasn't his fault....the fact he walked away to a thickshake with his grandma was.
The apprentice performed well under pressure, STFU.

Good airmanship would not have placed himself into that in the first place. Lucky no wind turbines around.
Yet another example of yr rrr wrong's abysmal ignorance of matters operational ( read his nonsense views on engine operation re. LOP) and his balanced personality --- a chip on both shoulders.
Well done, that student.
Tootle pip!!
I hope I can have the knowledge of all of you knocking this fella one day. How good were you when you were at this kids experience.?
Good job Kid. No doubt you would have been crapping your pants - you put it down and walked away..
To make things even better, you grounded (wrote off?) a Jabiru..
It was gonna happen anyway, may as well do it in a semi controlled manner 👍
Two for the price of one!

The instructor needs a serious kick in the pants here. The kid did well to walk away. I wonder if he might have been a little reluctant and didn't speak up?
I recall not long after 1st solo, turning up to a booking for circuits and telling the instructor I wasn't keen due to the lowish cloud base. Nah you'll be right, give it a crack. I chickened out and the instructor (not IR at that stage) suggested she'll head up with another student and give me a report. Be ready to go she says.
Well, not 200' AGL she disappears into the murk only to be spotted thirty seconds later in a steep, descending bank back over the dead side adjacent to a decommissioned tower. How she missed it I'll never know, but they survived. What I do know is if it was me, it probably would have been a very different outcome.
