Fire Spotting

Does anyone have any info or contacts for the various fire spotting jobs around the country along with any experience needs?

In Western Australia firespotting is done by Department of Parks & Wildlife. Minimum requirements are a CPL, 10hrs tailwheel, ASIC, DG Awareness. They will advertise around September and shortlist applicants around October. Usually have somewhere around 100 applicants for between 2 - 6 positions depending on whether or not people return for another season or not.

A few years ago QLD would book charters from the local operators for that. From memory the contracts had minimums that where not basic CPL levels. 4 or 500 TT rings a bell for the single eng work.
Not sure if that is still current practice.
