TAUPO SKYDIVE DITCHING - Sink the Pink

Plane crashes into Lake Taupo | Stuff.co.nz

Skydive Taupo said no-one was available to comment on the crash.

Taupo harbourmaster Philip King said the pilot was last out.

"The skydivers had already jumped," he said.

"The pilot ejected later and ended up in the blackberry.

"The fire brigade were there with ladders. They had to cut their way in there.
Wha?

Sheep Shaggers get ejector seats?

CASA needs to get their finger out and catch up with the Kiwi industry! Lucky so & sos...

Then again, they still haven't worked out why they aren't enforcing a commercial operation either...

Damn lucky.

Jumping into the water can be a death sentence, particularly when tandem. Good job those jumpers.

Meanwhile today in Melbourne a large number of jumpers went off course at St Kilda and landed in the water when a forecast storm arrived

It seems the police dive squad was sent down to ascertain why the aircraft crashed.

It sounds like this one did, showering hot glowing bits and pieces out the exhaust, if you can believe what you read.

This evenings South Australian 'Today Tonight' TV show had a mention of how an SA Truckdriver on holiday was a tandem jumper on the aircraft concerned.

Great emphasis was made on how the aircraft "exploded!"

There really are times when I wish I could meet one of these so called reporters, and take him out the back of the studios for 'a quiet chat!'

That generator is very wrong...it has more type options than Cessna!
