Ooops
Hear that a Stinson Reliant made a nice dead stick landing at Murray Bridge today after running out of fuel less than 10nm from field of departure for what was to be a 70nm flight to Loxton.

No licensed pilot would surely ever depart without knowing their fuel state, surely. Seems to me something underhanded is at play here.
IF the tanks were drained, the thief (if ever identified) should be charged with attempted murder. Lowest form of life if thats the case.

Was there today. Approaching the circuit the engine started running very rough and backfiring, and the aircraft made a downwind landing after a VERY adjusted circuit. Took off from Callington with bugger all fuel. Very poor airmanship
