QF 97/98 Loads

Heard (or rather saw) a rumour here a while back the Rat going to can BNE - SIN/HKG flights? Looking to go back to HKG Oct-Nov, not sure whether to go for the staff tkts, or positive space full fare, no worries tkts!!

What is the latest? Are they still looking to drop BNE - HKG? If not, how are the loads? (I am aware that routes served by full aircraft are not immune from being dropped!!)

The current sales, which have just been extended for another week, into Asia, certainly show that all is not right with yields in the world.

And you are competing with AirAsiaX who have a brand new (government funded) terminal, and Scoot who is about to get 787s (first due in November)

Qantas desperately needs its refurbed A330s

Refurbed A330 or not Moa, an A330 is what I would expect on the service. My question was will a QF service exist by Oct Nov 2014? If not, then fine I'll go CX or even SQ via Singas if the timing / cost make it worthwhile!

Qantas desperately needs its refurbed A330s

11-12 year old aircraft that have been flogged flying bogans to Bali and Phuket ?

What Qantas desperately need are the new aircraft "The Group" have ordered over the years (320, 787/8-9's, 380's ) instead of gifting these shiny new tubes to the red-headed stepchild and/or cancelling them.

Also what is desperately needed is an end to the war on staff, customers and the general public, a new board, CEO and Snr management (In fact a lot of middle and lower management also need replacing or termination)

The rumour from QF BNE ground staff is they have heard that the QF51/52 & QF97/98 services will be transferred to JQ International. No hint of when it's going to happen but could be announced when the FY13/14 financial details are disclosed.

The tie up with EK has decimated all of QF's Asian routes.

Nice lounges, though.

Don't see how it'll transfer them to JQ as their 787/330 fleet is pretty much fully used.

Unless JQ keep some 330's...

Surely not handing those routes to JQ. If so, it seems the strategy is to deliberately lose customers. A large proportion of people flying this route are those on business, even if not business class they don't want to be crammed into a LCc. Many of the remainder are older and flying to Europe but wishing to avoid Arab states and fly their familiar route. Gobsmackingly incompetent strategies if they hand it to JQ, but consistent.

I hope not. I'm booked with QF in November to HongKong. If it is gifted to Bogan Air, they just lost 6 customers.
