VANZ recruitment
Does anyone know the procedure for applying for VANZ? Is it now all through Virgin Australia, or is there a seperate recruitment side for just the VANZ part of the airline with the AKL and CHC bases? Cheers.

I've heard the same as what IRON MAN has said. As I understand, all recruiting for VANZ is done via VA OZ HR in Brisbane but currently no pilot applications are been accepted? A mate of mine has been on a YES letter since mid 12 for VANZ and was only recently advised that no courses have been confirmed for the foreseeable future and his position on the hold file remains unchanged. Apparently there are a few out there on YES letters, how many he doesn't know or if they have moved on.

Thanks very much for the info guys. So I take it with the VA website saying they aren't recruiting - therefore no apply online section - you can't even get your names on their books as such at the moment?

I heard an internal letter from VANZ a week or two ago to the group looking for pilots most likely F/Os slot only......rumours 8-10 slots
for all of us sitting with the "yes letters" for awhile now things are looking slim and slimmer by the second.......

From what I can tell Virgin have advertised internally for FO positions in NZ. Aimed primarily at VAI Cruise FOs. If there's not enough take up then I guess they will advertise externally. I have heard 10 positions.

It appears there may not be any external offers for the 737 (Aus or NZ) or Ejet while 777 Cruise FO's are exercising their rights to these positions as vacancies come up.
