I'm Back!

Hey all,
I'm back, unsure for how long, I can never tell at the start.
Anyway. I'll start off with a few, but be prepared to see a lot more

Crew transport!!

Jamair, is PSY based in Mt Isa now? The original 208 used to be based in Isa and I think PSY was based in Cairns.

Yep, crew transport. When i was CS based i took my mountain bike in the cargo pod on the Cape and Straits weeks, helps keep the weight off the pilot plus made exploring the islands and communities easy.

Of the Polair 208s, PSY is CS, PSV is at Isa and PSQ is in BN.there is a Slowtation at BN PSU, a B1900 PSK at CS and a Bongo PSZ? on HID.

Good gig, fun times, but current gig MUCH better

Was down your way on the weekend Tailie, jeez some changes there since I left!

Changes jamjar? Mate lucky you recognised it. If you flew in could you actually get in and park, let alone taxi out again.

That place must surely exceed the movements at TL

XXX makes sense to me.

Yes, there are now a minimum 40 Dash 8s per week and it is still not easy to get a seat! I still own one house there but have now retired to the Coast.

VH-XXX

Just ran Jamair's post through a US government decryption program and came up with this.
Of the Police Air Wing Cessna 208's, VH-PSY is in Cairns, VH-PSV is at Mount Isa and VH-PSQ is in Brisbane. There is a Cessna Citation at Brisbane, VH-PSU, a Beech 1900 VH-PSK at Cairns and a Brittain Norman Islander VH-PSZ (possibly) on Horn Island.

Hope this helps.

Beautiful shot right there. Amazing sunset.

Cleaned up, the B200 is one sweet looking aircraft from an aviation buff's viewpoint. I used to love watching them depart CNS when I was working in and around the airport.

I'd buy one, but neither have the money or a pilots licence so kinda awkward.
