VH-XXX, I think that sign's at YBHI just east of the avgas bowser. The problem being that most pilots arriving there have travelled a fair distance and are busting. There are toilets available west of the aeroclub. It's not that far to walk.

The sound of freedom rumbled over my office just north of the CBD, and they did a nice low pass around the NW of the city Looked and sounded awesome!

Almost makes up for the loss of the pigs

Almost....but not quite! That big bird had a presence all of her own, I never managed a decent night time dump n burn photo, but have an abiding memory of sitting on the boat, feeling the heat on my face as it went over.

I feel a photo coming on;

Having had a one hour jolly in 77Sqn Mirage 111D, A3-116 on 24th Jan 1980... +5g and -2g aeros.. Nothing beats a Mirage for me!

(So I was paid to go through the speed of sound without having to buy a Concorde ticket!)

And 760 gallons of AVTUR burned...

Right, I know I have my orders but managed to get this one at the reef last weekend and after much thought it has to be seen. The SLR was at home so all I had was my ipad. No editing has gone into this picture whatsoever, so I will leave this as my last Beaver/Caravan photo of the year

Piano Man, can yer get somebody to take some piccys of on/off ramp ops at the islands. All the spray and the deck angles would make for some interesting photo's.

It may not be an aircraft, but it's pretty close... it's got a propeller, Continental engine and a couple of rudders. (plus some pretty impressive artwork!)
