The Home of Photos in Dunnunda! Mk II
If that's the case, it's parked up the hill.
Must be very late 70's, early 80's. The strip was built in stages. Certainly a goat track at the beginning.

Early 1983 actually. The aircraft were there for the first outrigger canoe race around the island. Surfers Paradise Lifeguards from memory. The harbor was operational and the tavern was up and running. Had a ramp and a 'Fairmile'. Williams had a wood boat. There were goats on the track and deer all over the place, but that's another story. The strip was about 2000ft then.

Well not all, but being a winch based strip, expect >4000 foot unless they are dropping fences at minimum width for safe ops.
Cheers

just a stones throw to the south of the Wahring strip smack bang in the middle of a large paddock often only stubble is a square of trees . . you can see it on google easily enough. The funny thing is in the centre of this mini - forest there's a hut .. . but no obvious track in or out
is Max C still doing a bit of instructing at Wahring? has he still got the Callair?

Not sure what the go is up there now..the only member I know there last said to me that his last trip the place was almost deserted.
Last I heard on the Callairs, was that both APC and MFG were in the custody of the farmer..neither were airworthy, and both for sale. No Idea whats happened to them.

Mrs Dr stumbled across this pic last night!
Who, what, where, when?
They don't make pilot's or aeroplanes like they used to!
Dr
PS: This aeroplane should be really familiar to at least one person on here!

Obviously Archerfield but I don't recognise the V Tail
Not many Beech aircraft parked in that area as it was outside the Cessna dealers hangar. They tended to flock up around Sunland

Is that John Grace? In 1974 VH-CFK was with Lanhams Air Charter at Mt Isa. John and I flew it around the Cattle Stations in the Gulf. We all dressed like that in those days. No Bogans covered in ink with blank stares back then.
Yes, joined them on Jan 15th 1974. I did, briefly fly the Joy-riding business for Cliff on the Coast in 1972. The other single Beech at Mt Isa was a Debonair VH-DYT. They had numerous Cessna models, 206,210 and that awful 207 contraption (VH- MHL). Loved the ' V-Tail banana' as we use to call it.
