C-131 Australia..

From memory The U.S. Ambassador in Canberra had one available for his use back in the 70's, I think either operated by U.S.N. or U.S.M.C.

Ambassador's C-131 USAF



saw it fly over the Essendon High School quadrangle on final to Essendon airport, that thing was so shiny we could see our tiny reflections under the wing!( not my picture by the way.. one in my collection I got from I cant remember where)

That is the top end of Whitehaven beach, Whitsunday Island.

Good question, looks like some kind of NASA test aircraft however searching through Google images doesn't come up with anything even remotely similar

I would guess they're D-21 drones. Just based on the delta-ness and inlet spike. I'm also guessing the aircarft to the right at T-2 Buckeyes? One of the uglier planes ever designed...

VH-XXX thats the Lockheed D-21. It was a recon drone designed to be launched from the back of a modified blackbird.
