A worthy cause

A shame it took a 10 year old to come up with it.

Petition | Canberra Airport Corporation: Name the upcoming airport after David Warren, the inventor of the Black Box |

Given he was a Territorian, NT Airports should be renaming Darwin Airport.

Especially since the IATA code for Darwin is Dr Warren's initials...

Maybe, this 10 year could take over from some of these 'Aviation Experts' and so called aviation journalists?

Thank you to everyone

I am Eve Cogan and I created the petition to rename the Canberra Airport after David Warren.

I would like to thank all the people who have supported me. I have sent a letter to the owners are hoping for good news soon.

To the comment from Mr Clear_Left, yes David was born in the Northern Territory, but his life took him around Australia. I think the Canberra Airport is a better choice because it is the capital of Australia and it is important that politicians are reminded Australia is a country of great innovation and inventions.

Also thank you to Mr Paul who told me to find this page on a comment on my blog

Like most things in life, and certainly aviation, do not give up until you achieve.

Good work girl!

If Australia is in the hands of such articulate and purposeful young people in the future, such as Eve Cogan, I will be happy.
To Eve, you are an amazing young lady.
If in the future you need contacts, guidance, or assistance in your future career I am sure there are people here who know people who will assist.

Once again, this young girl has outshone the professional aviation journalists. Ben Sandilands explains: Australia's unsung hero David Warren and the saving of QF32 | Plane Talking
