I'd suggest if part 1 is verbal/numerical reasoning then part 2 will be psychometric/behavioural

I really like how the email for the testing came 3 working days before Xmas, with the warning that you had 5 days to complete the test or you will be discontinued from the selection process.

Psychometric tests will always have more than you can do, its to put you under pressure to do as many as possible

If you are successful then you will be experiencing that sort of moronic unthinking management of personnel for years to come.

Anyone in the know, can advise how the endorsments are working? From my understanding you have to have an A320 rating to be employed, so will they provide you with a letter of employment if you are not type rated? I understand there is no salary sacrifice, however heard a rumour that they are working on this? Would the letter of employment then be sufficient to provide a tax deduction on the endorsment? Just a thought.

Unless things have changed; you do not get a letter of employment, rather a conditional letter of acceptance into the holding pool. -BUT there was no holding pool anymore for 2012, unless they start one for 2013...which seems rather unfair on those that got wiped when the airline got grounded, from the original holding pool, that had type rated themselves!
You pay for the rating directly.

They charged me $72.60 for part 1 of the assessment. I can only assume that they will be further cost for part 2...
You are right. it is $213.40 more for part II

Ha, what a joke. They lure you in with the $72 for round 1, giving you a few days to mull it over before ultimately deciding it'd be a waste not to have a crack, then they up it and slug you a cheeky $213 for round 2! By this stage, you're excited you made it to the next round and you're already somewhat financially committed to the process, so what's another few hundred dollars. I can't wait to find out how much the sim is.

As someone mentioned earlier, I wonder how many people actually got culled in round 1, if any. It smells of a scam, yet .......I'll still jump through the hoops. Do you think they'll reverse charge you for the phone interview?

Asking for $72 to do some online test is hardly luring, more like asking you to bend over and touch your toes so you can find out what comes next. Eyes wide open...
