Which book.…

Hi all
Looking for a good book for interview prep.
I know of the "ace" book/ass paper, so that's out.
But seriously any good (or even better - great) books that anyone could recommend.

Just on a side note do you think it matters if the book is northern hemisphere orientated?

Cheers

Knox.

Do a search for errors in "Ace the Technical Pilot Interview". There are one or two mistakes.

"Checklist for Sucess" by Cheryl Cage.

I highly recommend it. I completed the work book and took her course in Denver.

Excerpt from Foreword to Checklist for Success:

"All the advice I could provide is contained in this book. Your careful reading and study of this material, although it cannot guarantee success, will certainly enhance your chances.

By considering Checklist for Success you have taken an important step toward improving your competitiveness, which will increase your chances of being hired into one of the most rewarding, best professions available."

W.H. Traub
Vice President
Flight Standards and Training (Ret. 1997)
United Airlines

"This material could easily make the difference in the outcome of a pilot applicant's interview. Every pilot applicant should read and follow the advice Cheryl Cage has offered. You can profit from the knowledge she has acquired and now shares in Checklist for Success."

Captain John Rensch

Jeesus H Christ cock . . . will I ever get the addled old noggin round them accro-nims of yours?

OFFS - OPPORTUNITIES FOR FIXING SELECTION?

- ALL THINGS THAT ARE NOT ON?

FCS - FOR CHRIIIIST'S SAKE?

(Thinks - -- - once there was a CP who'd 'interview' candidates for hours in the front bar of his local. If they could walk out the door without bouncing off the sides after multiple pots of Kilkenny, then they might just get a go - some day.)

ps aaahhhhhh belated penny drops .. . . . .. oh for fcks sake.!!

Thanks for the advice on books guys … that doesn't include you kharon, I feel you just want a rant and not offer any kind of constructive advice.

Selah – FCS.
Anymore genuine or even understandable advice is welcomed.

OK . .. so the man can be a trifle obscure . .. . . BUT . . .. he IS offering

advice .. . believe it or not . (Take it from me . . . there are not too

many round these parts with his depth of experience at the pointy end and in

hiring and firing.) If you front for an interview with a pre-arranged plan as

to how you will present which you've got out of a book then nine times out

ten you will be seen as too rehearsed, lacking in honest spontaneity,

and even some sort of pseudo clone. It's like trying to find where

you can enrol in a (mythical) accelerated maturity course.
