B737-300's in service

Hi all

Currently reading through an old maintenance training manual released by Boeing on the 737-300 that was used in training TAA Maint. Staff.

Just out of interest was wondering if anyone on the forum was flying for TAA or any airline for that matter when the -300 went into service in Aus. What was your thoughts on the aircraft at the time.
I'm not a maintenance person but love these old training manuals.

Cheers
