It's been a few years since I've flown out of Sydney, but I'm pretty sure that Metro is escaping off 16L.
Nice painting though. (shame about the subject hehehehe)

Runway 16 L and 16R

18- Wheeler::

It appears to be taking off from 16L, unless it did a quick side step from 16 R!

Regards,

Tmb

Thanks to Ppruners for your comments and compliments. You have warmed my cold, black heart.
Green Goblin. You speak of great wisdom, and I have now amended the painting to include the red arcs on the props. It does look better, thanks

Stevep64. I was amazed when I googled my name, putting 'artist' after it. So much of my world and pictures are out there in cyber world, for all to see.

Nitpicker330. I did a Cathay aircraft a few years ago. Here is a piccy of it. Unfortunately,I only had a Crudmaster Mk1 camera back then, and as I don't have the painting anymore I have had to scan the washed out photo. Please forgive the quality. It is taking off at Hong Kong.

Jaba. I have taken your advice, here is the amended PC12 complete with aileron deflection.

To the others commenting on my left vs right runway....yes,you are all correct. I will now go back to typing with one finger because two makes twice as many errors.

Tailwheel. I have sent you a PM some days ago requesting your postal address to mail you the painting. As I didn't get a reply, shall I just send it care of you parole officer again?

Well then you've got to put the greatest metro pilot to ever come to out of toll then, the check pilot of all check pilots, the guru of all gurus

Mr Metroliner himself

As with all the other posters picking out flaws with your works AS, my biggest gripe is that everyone that sees the Titan painting you did for me thinks its a PHOTO! They have to get up within a meter to see that it is indeed a painting.

As usual, stunning work.

It is no wonder, look at the detail, light reflection in puddles of water, landing lights.

A talent beyond words

That 404 is a great shot, very realistic indeed but hope it was a ferry flight as it looks M/T!:-)
I've had a few people see my paintings expertly done by AE from afar hangin' on da wal & say gee how did ya get that close up photo of the Lear? Me just smiles

* Puts hands in pockets, looks at the ground and shuffles uncomfortably*...AWWW,shucks.....thanks guys....I've gone all red with embarrassment.

I like to show my artwork to my cyber friends here on Pprune.Because I live and paint alone, it's good to get others opinions and comments, as we have seen with the above posts,I do make some oversights.

My three sons (and one daughter in law) drop by occasionally, however, because they have little (no) interest in paintings or aviation, any of my completed works are met with "mmmm, nice, now what's to eat?"

'AE' that's typical of the non aviation types & in some ways am envious of them, aviation has & still is consuming an awful lot of my life, mostly by choice though:-) Yr work however is obviously a job of love & yr good at it, despite yr age!

BTW 'AE' my next commission for you will be the DH 104, Vh ABM or Vh NBM, just have to find a suitable photo as both planes have gone to God:-)
