Aircraft Hire Sydney

Anyone know of, or have a private aircraft available for hire in the Sydney area at a reasonable rate?
Single or Twin just wanting something under several hundred an hour to take friends for a spin.

Cheers!

Warnervale Air, at YWVA, can give you a C172 for around $200 p/h.

About 1hr north of Sydney.

Plenty of places. Schofileds, Basair both at Bankstown.

Just don't tell them you'll be spinning in it!

A 1970 C172 for $200 per hour, geeze, I remember when that same machine was under $50 per hour at Aeropelican, and it was new then.

I know most mob's want 250 ish an hour and a bldy check ride to make sure you can handle such a beast. So before you probably do what you wanted to in the first place your out of pocket 3-400. It's insane! Would like to stay clear of flying school/money printing institutions.

You will be required to do a check everywhere I suggest, I would be surprised if you don't. You definitely will at WVA.

And from memory the instructor rates at YWVA were about $90 p/h; so you'll be looking at close to $300 p/h for the checkride.
