Aus/NZ CPL to PNG Licence Conversion
Hi guys,
I note that the PNG CAA website is down still. Does anyone have info or contacts as to the requirements to convert an Aussie or Kiwi CPL (A) to a PNG CPL?
Can it all be done from Australia? What is the turnaround time?
Also, if anyone knows the contact details for the Brisbane DAMEs who can do PNG medicals, please post or PM me.
Really tough to get any info at the moment with the web page down.
Finally, any easier to convert an NZ CPL to PNG compared to an AUS CPL?

No, to my knowledge, license transfer can't be done from Australia.
Turnaround time in PNG after having successfully sat the air law exam to having a PNG license = a few weeks if you have a good run.
Yes, easier to convert the NZ CPL to PNG as opposed to Aussie as the PNG rules are now based on the NZ framework.
Can't help re Brisbane DAME's but I know there is at least one DAME in Cairns who does both.

Did mine all in country...
get a copy of the rules before heading over there. mostly based on kiwi but their are some differences which are assessed. e.g carriage of weapons etc.
dame in png as well... if your invited for a job then they will take care of all of this.. most dont require it before an interview... and generally wont help.
