So Atlas and mTrench, any more news?

I hear they are also advertising for VANZ FO's again internally.

Nothing yet here. I have heard of calls going out this week for VANZ start dates. From what I have gathered there are 2 courses, one early March and another just advertised internally. As well all know, internals first, so those of us on the hold can only hope for the scraps

Atlas12, have you ever thought that by posting on here all your interactions with HR at Virgin that you're actually doing yourself out of a job?

I'm pretty certain the the HR team, CP et al would frequent this thread and get a bit of a laugh on all the hiring conspiracies.

The previous 2 posters clearly haven't been on the hold file for the last 3 years

I dunno dude. Most airlines are pretty hardcore about their social media policy, and your not even an employee yet.

Atlas12, why would I be on the hold file for Virgin at all? I fly EMS choppers for a crust.

I was just pointing out that's perhaps why you've been on the hold file for 3 years whilst many other direct entry FO's have joined ahead of you in that time frame. Then again maybe not, who knows.

It's probably not a wise move to be posting every interaction you have with HR for a company you are trying to join, I doubt they appreciate it at all.

You've also posted in other threads about your applications to other airlines without much success. That probably wouldn't help your application either.

Just my 2c, take it or leave it.

Pretty sure they wouldn't waste their time reading this thread.. And if they did - they should probably cull their HR department for wasting time

That's a pretty naive and ignorant statement considering with Facebook and LinkedIn being out there, you can find a lot of information on a prospective employee online. Good or bad but mainly the later as people post a lot of stupid stuff.

Most large Australian companies have a 'Social Media' team which spends the whole day looking at Face Book, Newspapers, Twitter, Pprune, cabin crew.com, etc etc. It would be some people's idea of a dream job. The objective , here, is to identify threats to the the brand name as act to curtail potential damage to the company's reputation. Of course Virgin has people who read Pprune!

Ok, we all know about social media and airlines. We don't care anymore. This forum is about Virgin recruitment so let's get back on track. Is there any news? Last I heard they are recruiting recruiters. Gearing up for interviews within the first 6 months of 2015. Does anyone have more information?

A few weeks back an EOI was issued to flight crew regarding joining the flight crew interview team.

Well think of it this way , no commands within Virgin for two years, 73 pilots only doing 600 hours per year ,company losing a shed of money, big talk about big hiring @ Tiger - action part didn't go so well, hold files of three yes three years

Da future's so bright ya gotta wear shades

Flyboat, the've just called for Command and FO bids in East Coast bases as well as NZ. In addition A330 FO. This is in addition to the recent Perth 73 Commands. Right on the money champ - NOT!

What Virgin say they are going to do & what actually occurs are often two different things. Tiger getting a whole lot of new airbuses, we are gonna employ all youse blokes on the hold file etc.

So until it happens it just isn't in the score book.

What I said was no commands within Virgin over last two years; so think again is that a maybe ,perhaps , moving towards a likely. I will give you the answer brother.

CORRECT !!

WRONG

There were Embraer commands last year. Some 737 pilots are doing 90+ hours a month...
