Interviewed in December. Don't know about Long Haul courses however no Short Haul courses planned at least in the next 2 months (for external recruitment anyway)
Looks like hold file for Short Haul will be close to the 12 month mark.

I know of someone who spent 8 months on the Virgin hold file just last year. These things are cyclic, but when you do get the call up it happens pretty quick. All the best to those on the hold file. My advice is to accept whatever is offered at the time and then work it out from there!!!

Completely agree with scaredeicat... for most recent recruits it has been ~12 months but these things can change at a moments notice, and who really knows what virgins recruitment plans really are. My money is on 9-12 months, hopefully sooner

I think the hold file letters have all been different. A lot of guys have gotten V aus letter, domestic letters, VANZ letters, or a combo of both. Just from the small sample of people who i know who have gotten letters.

Don't know about interviews, but the EBA the company has just released to the troops is really bad for any new pilots. You will be the lowest paid jet pilot in Australia for the first 12 months and most likely stay that way after 12 months if you are on the Embraer.
