Max fuel imbalance of 500lbs came in handy when doing lots of short runs. Use the crossfeed in the cruise and burn fuel from just the No 2 (RH) tank and that way you only need to top up one side on the turnaround
Caution: remember to turn the crossfeed off and monitor your fuel gauges and most definitely respect the max fuel imbalance! If your workload gets too high for whatever reason, this in when you are likely to forget that the crossfeed is on so I'd recommend switching back to BOTH tanks before you get overloaded with other more important things like FLYING the plane...

Just as a matter of interest, the first aircraft arrived in Australia at 10pm on the 30th June, 1978 after a ferry flight from San Paulo (Brasil) to Chile, Easter Island, Hao, Tahiti, Western Samoa, Fiji and Brisbane.
It was subsequently registered VH-MWU and was then operated by Masling Commuter on the Sydney/Williamtown/Cootamundra/Young/Nowra routes together with others on the Masling network. There were 3 more (P2) aircraft to join the Masling fleet which were VH-MWV, VH-MWW, VH-MWX.
The introduction of this aircraft was a great success as indicated on this thread.

At one stage in the late 80's Hazelton's operated two Bandeirantes WPI and WPE both P1's on country NSW routes. On certain days the aircraft would do the Dubbo-Broken Hill-Dubbo run, not a bad effort for an aircraft designed for short haul routes,
I think they planned to replace the Bandits with the B1900, but that fell through with CAA's delay in getting the type onto the Australian register.

WPE became LNB with Lincoln Airlines from June 1992 and joined by LNC in November 1993. For the period June 1992 until Dec 1993 LNB performed very reliably 28 return flights a week between Port Lincoln and Adelaide (maintenance every Tuesday night at Tuna City Aviation). The LAME's were glad when the second EMB-110 arrived and they did not have to do night maintenance. Unfortunately LNC was sacrificed to keep LNB and another poorer EMB-110 specimen going after Lincoln Airlines was sold in 1997.
LNC remains as a non-flying wreck at Port Lincoln and should be confined to the deep as an artificial reef.

LNB was test flown one hour on 18 July 2009. It had ferry tanks fitted and was exported to Guatamala City, Guatamala, leaving on 22 July.

Ummm Frigatebird;A few years ago now, but did you take that photograph of LNB and LNC, or did I?
And either way, do we know each other?
Pm or e-mail at your convenience.

What happened to my beloved P2-SWF? Saw a photo of it recently with a new paint job.
