Encore!

My eight year old daughter spotted this (even before I did. ).

After last year's hugely successful "Alcohol and Other Drugs"
desk calendar (the one with no March 2010 and October beginning on Thursday instead of Friday), it looks like CASA have decided to stick with the devil they know as far as printers are concerned.

Included with the Jan-Feb 2010 Flight Safety Australia magazine is a wall calendar, according to which August ends on Tuesday the 32nd...

What a pisser!

But I feel sorry for those born on the 31st August. They don't get a birthday this year.

I'll give CASA one thing: At least they are consistent!!

Funnily NZ CAA had a problem in their calenders this year too. In all fairness though I was a flexo printer for a few years and we're pretty much all idiots

Maybe it's CASA's way of paying homage to the CEO of Airservices who stated that ATC staff shortages were to be fixed by the end of August...still waiting for that one!

Last years wall calendar featured a couple of Antonov AN2's . Maybe CASA is hinting something . Could be that we are all busting around in Antonovs in the near future . Shotgun the AN225 ;-)

Yep what a cracker..........August 32.......but wait there is more.....September 1 follows on from Aug 32 on the next day of the week and puts the rest of the year out by one day......

This includes all the reminders being on the "right date" but wrong "day" of the week. I wonder what the excuse will be in someone misses a CASA PDP....."but I was using the calendar that you can gave us"!

They may have an out however.....at the bottom of the calendar is the proviso "Dates are subject to change without notice".....wonder if this covers it?

TinKicker, do you work for CASA? Look again, August has the 32nd but no 31st, so the rest of the year is not out by one day.

Arnold E,

thanks for picking that up....I'm incorrect.........that's what you get when you get dragged out of bed early and haven't had a coffee or breakfast yet.

And NO I do not work for CASA.

.............oh well I guess CASA gives us a source of entertainment, always has always will The DAMP calender might become a collectors item although to be that it has to be rare right? Well that it won't ever become with repeat distributions that have us all wondering who's at the helm? I now use my DAMP calender for a wheel chock, it's solid enough! Who'd wanna run the aviation business anyway? Not me that's for sure we pilots can be ruthless

Wmk2

p.s.......'Jaba' wanna buy mine? Everything has a price

Mine went straight in the bin, pretty useless to hang on a wall with all the creases in it. CASA would be better of spending our money on more resources to isssue medicals in a more timely matter, bleat over !!

For all our sake please stop critisizing CASA.

The Skull will have another emotional fit and spit his dummy all around the room at the next Senate Estimates meeting.

And DH200', I can't work out the rest of it either.

CASA's totally piss-poor efforts at everything would be the funniest thing in the world - IF it wasn't so serious, not to mention expensive to the industry in general.

How ANYONE involved with CASA could be less than embarassed by their rubbish is beyond me. What a joke.
