Bora Bora / Tahiti

Hi to all, just wondered if I could get a "Heads Up" from anyone. Am bringing a Gulfstream 5 down to French Polynesia for a week, will be making arrival in Tahiti, but pax want to go to Bora Bora, seems they may have limited parking, but does anyone know the possibilities for stopping over, which would save a lot of transit flights......also any info on the locality, and localrules and regs would be much appreciated.

I can't believe anyone that is fortuante enough to operate a G5 worldwide needs to ask where to land and park in Pprune!!!

Surely you have a company that can "provide a service" in this regard?

Who does your flight planning, hotel bookings, over flight clearances, customs etc?

Yep, nitpicker it does occur......rich people with short arms.....surprised you have never come across their like before!!!.....actually, apart from the basic ops point of view, as NTTB is out of our usual area of Operations, there are lots of wonderful Boys and Girls out there with a consummate amount of local knowledge, that no ops business, ever offers to us....no matter what amount of money you have.....hence the "heads up"....so perhaps rather than Nitpicking, you may have some great info for us?

Oh...and as for the Flight Planning, Hotels, Catering etc etc....we do all that ourselves....not all Bizjet ops are a Bed of Roses.....they are out there.....fewer now of course.....but not us.

I'm still amazed that your boss can afford a $40 million jet but is a tight ass when it comes to the operation..................You don't see Michael Schumacher/Tom Cruise/Tiger Woods/Greg Norman Pilot's asking this kind of information and I'm sure they've all operated into Tahiti AND Bora Bora many times..............using a suitable FBO or company designed to provide this exact service.

yet you troll Pprune for info!!

Tell your boss to sell the Jet if he cannot run it properly..

i have been there several times mostly you will be asked to ferry back to Tahiti , but i have seen some a/c o/night . 9 times out of 10 you will be ramped and they are good , have all your details ready ie radio operaters licence , mel , cert of reg , data base current etc etc , they will also have you on flight levels between the islands down to 1500 ft if there is passing traffic watch out for wind shear landing into the west at tahiti .Other than that the beer is not bad and some very beautiful women .Enjoy

Hey,
I live in Tahiti and watching the jets, I had the impression that people going to Bora using that kind of transportation was kind of different....
Thanks for showing me the truth.....
I also use forums when I go to Sydney for a few days...
And Google earth of course....
Have a good time in Tahiti
