Air Nostalgia DC-3

Cruising down the Tulla Freeway on Monday I noticed the Air Nostalgia DC-3 join on a right base for 26 at Essendon, sure looked good the old girl.

Hope none of the residents feared for their lives as the old war plane roared over head.

The aircraft I believe was put up for auction recently, does anyone know if it is staying at Essendon or moving on?

I noticed later in the week it was parked down near old Air Ambulance base.

So I wasn't seeing things. I was sure I saw a DC3 fly overhead in St Leonards on Monday evening.

Speaking of DC 3's, may be one doing some flights out of Tas in November (around Melbourne Cup time) Something to do with ex TAA employees trip.

Few years back saw one fly low over Bell Bay wharf, looked & sounded great, echoed off the surrounding hills. Much better than Avalon airshow flypast!

She's a terrific looking kite still. I hope to paint her for my twelve print series of DC3s in early next year.
