Good news, the couple in the plane were apparently uninjured. It was a homebuilt, but not sure what kind.

It was a beautiful today out today including Tyabb, barely a knot or three of wind and ossibly straight down the runway so something must have been wrong to not land at Tyabb.
I wonder if that type is a handful. I think I recall reading it was designed by an Airbus engineer.
I think there is a 'Chipper' at every small airport :-)

'Chipper' said the plane flipped due to a bad landing.
"The plane is r**ted, but they're OK," he said.

Probably just me...
He and his wife built it. It was his maiden flight in it. But they went on that flight together.
Even if it wasn't the test flight and someone else had flown off the 30 hours, wouldn't it be sensible to do a solo familiarisation first?
Just sayin'.
