Aircraft Hire in Adelaide?

I'm going on holiday to Adelaide in May and wonder if anyone has any recommendations for aircraft hire in the Adelaide area. I have a CASA PPL and 190 hrs, mostly in Cessnas but also have a CSU/retractable endorsement. I would also be interested in advice on where to fly on a 1-2 hr jolly. Thanks VFR

There are a couple of flying schools at Parafield that have hire and fly aircraft. Try Forsyth aviation as they have cessnas I believe. As for where to fly to in a hour or two probably south to the murray mouth/coorong then coastal west to cape jervious and up the coast to outer harbour/parafield. Fly from Aldinga beach to OHB at 500' (a common practice to stay under Adelaide flight path) off shore. I have done this route many times when I have visitors never had any complaints yet.

Thanks MT

The route looks interesting, I presume OHB is the Outer Harbour. All will become clear when I look at the VTC no doubt.

Cheers

Aldinga Aircraft Hire

Mr VFR, I would try Aldinga Aerodrome for aircraft hire. I did recently, and had a great experience there. I had never flown in Adelaide, and found these guys to be very professional and excellent in presentation! I think they call themselves Adelaide Biplanes or something like that.

Also the best flying school presentation I've ever seen! I would gladly leave guests there whilst I would fly, and know they would enjoy it, and the food, and viewing area. .... And right next to the McLaren Vale wineries - thats all I was there for

Anyway, look up on net for them ... Great bunch. Cheers KP

You should rent something in WA and fly it to and from SA.
Now that's a vacation
