Cirrus Jet - Pictures at last

I apologise if this is in the wrong forum or if it has been repeated elsewhere (tried to search but wouldn't search for Jet).

The proposed Cirrus Jet has finally been revealed here.

I can't quite put my finger on it but the back of it looks somewhat familiar. Any thoughts?

FTDK

I thought you might be at the front of the line for one given it's similarity to your name sake

I wonder if they are paying design rights...

Yep has the look of a V35 but also a V2 flying buzz bomb the Germans used on Britain during WW2.

Only if they guarantee I can get it in and out of 600 m !

...... and that it won't "melt" in the nth Qld sun.

No details, but they want us to kick in a hundred big ones to reserve a spot...

Looks nice, hopefully the performance will match the venerable V-35, especially the carrying capacity!

I wonder if the boys in Bundy have any bright ideas for a JabiJet

I bet the Dr was getting quite a turn on from that Press Release.

Chuck, keep him away from your plane with the new paint job.....or bring a chamois!

Jabawocky, you're a cheeky b*gger - and you're WRONG!

Plastic fantastic just doesn't do it for me. I had a plastic toy aeroplane when I was a kid.

That aeroplane desgin was from about 1982. I have seen ads in old flying mags with a texan dude in a big hat flying his new single engine private jet. Not sure of who propose it originally but it's the same plane, except for the V tail.

The name started with V I think.

Not thinking about the early Visionaire Vantage are you, which was a little later than 1982?

Nev, me old mate!

The design dates from 1945/6. Originally credited to Walter Beech. Its a Bonanza V35 !!!!!

Neville N you are thinking of the Gulfstream Peregrine with the Texan and his hat. Apart from the fact that both have one engine there is no similarity at all.
