Ah, that brings back memories. I was lucky enough to go for a fly in this machine way back in 06' while on holidays in the states. We booked tickets and was then driven to a neighbouring airfield (Appleton Airfield??) to board. We departed and flew in the direction of the Oshkosh Airshow where we orbited for a while before flying back to Appleton Airfield.

WOULD GIVE MY RIGHT ARM TO DO THAT AGAIN !!!!!

Have followed the project, and it is an amazing result.

Van is an impressive fellow, and having flown with him, and he let me fly his personal plane, I am not only grateful, but in awe of this most humble and significant contributor to aviation.

Nice shot MMArdmore - great to see those currents from both coasts meet but I wouldn't want to be in the water just there.
