Subaru. Looks good, but sounds like a whipper-snipper. seems to perform okay.

Some interesting strips from the last 7 days, sure beats being vectored onto an ILS.

Feel free to have a guess at the locations.

What a top couple of pix of that Spit!! Can't imagine what it would have bin like back in WW2 in the real thing being 20 yrs old & getting shot at!!!!!

Now if sumwun could invent a twin version of an RV 8 or so & call it an RV 16 then I might get excited & want one !

'jabadabado' that's one ugly airframe so far I would imagine even you RV (Recreational Vehicle) lovers would agree that's !!
I think B Rutan designed a twin lighty that was a 'suck me blow me job', can't think of it's name but that was a good start A couple of small turbines of around 250 gee gee's each would be sweet for a two place SAFE machine!

what he needs is to get a head start on the future, a small diesel engine in the nose, turning an electric generator, powering 2 electric engines on the wings, Chevy volt style. and Sonex aircraft have a few electric engines the size of the main wheels in diameter that are the equivalent of 150 Hp.

actually i have been thinking of building a savvy to operate like that, small 2 cylinder diesel turning a small generator, powering an 150 hp electric motor, now with a small diesel, and 110Ltrs useable, and a fuel burn of just over 5 ltrs/hr. and a 150 hp max in the savvy airframe, climb like a scalded cat, loiter for 22 hrs, and land in 50 mtrs!

Personally I'd be beefing my nose leg with the two engines hanging off the wings! Unless they are 912's or something, however the cowls are looking too big for that.

Chck out the "drop" tank on the machine above it!

Or strap a drone motor to one for a little more speed but apparently mot much more than 10mins useful endurance!

(Photo from another forum... not mine unfortunately... don't quite have that photographic skill!!)
