G'day Wiz....

On a certain Island about 75nm N of Derbs??

Its been a while - the last time I was into there was around '84 or thereabouts when I was stationed at Derbs FSU...

Dunno about the Pawnee, but I'd say it had seen better days....even then!
T'aint still around, as CRW anyhow.

Cheers

I thought that the composites of the B787 meant that we were going to get super size windows? They look pretty normal to me. Perhaps it's just the way the photo appears.

I think you are right, they are not as claimed, or so it appears.

Tin's window's seem bigger!

It was a pleasure to go up the front of this bird whilst she was being taxied, and so great to see her carve up the skies. JB

That Pawnee sure is odd. Oversize tyres, non standard undercarriage, no spray gear or spreader or tow-hook, the cowling is not standard, and there are no leading edge wing root fairings.

Must be a real early model?

Yeh Gaunty did a couple of trips on them i nEurope in the 70's,somewhere sunny away from Blighty.I can remember them as being unremarkable and mostly modern feeling to pax in,certainly better than the Viscounts and Brittainias that were around then.
