Which runway am I on here? (apart from the obvious 23!)
The City of Churches and Pubs!

It's just an SR20
Isn't it the SR28? How many chutes in the recovery system again? Let's see, 250t / 500kg per chute... 500 chutes! Better write it off; cheaper than repacking them!

Jaba and Bloggsy,
I reckon it is a Cirrus SR22 based at Aldinga in S.A. And the runway is 23 at YPAD. If there is a prize for this, please send me a shared carton of Coopers Pale Ale with Bloggsy prior to Christmas....

Well done Fred, and here I was looking at heights locations and wondering what dodgy things xxx was up to this time

Probe failure, or just a typical genuine factory TCM exhaust valve, lucky it was only one

And before too many folk get carried away, no matter what you do with the way TCM assembled their cylinders, this would be highly likely. Of course the pilot gets blamed, not the poor assembly

Of course I only mentioned Jabba because of his love of the engine and EGT's

Correct, runway 23 Adelaide.

It's an SR22 yep with one BRS chute, the rego on the dash made it easy! This is from the archives so long before it found its way to Aldinga and started flying through thunderstorms and the like.

I found an awesome video in my email of it doing a fly by but I'd better not post it as the trolls will send it to CASA!

No idea Jabba! They often do that and usually come good on a restart.

Thanks 185, but I was just reposting the link.
I wish that I could see it in the flesh though, maybe when it gets back to the US.

....just in case you forgot. Orville and Wilbur doin' their thing 109 years ago today. Orville is lying prone on the bottom wing of the Wright Flyer showing us a clean pair of heals whilst working his ring off to keep the pointy end pointed forward. The Flyer wasn't known for it's static or dynamic stability.
Wilbur is seen running along side offering whatever encouragement he can.

Hi-res pic above. A truly remarkable photo. Take the time to study it in detail.
