Sure is. Very much like a baby fletcher. Amazing how it grew into the PAC 750 of today. Over a period of more than half a century. NZ has had a small aircraft industry for half a century. Australia has a Jabiru industry, with over 1000 sold. And the Airvan well established.

It does indeed! I have never seen anything like it before. Soon after the pic was taken the aerodrome was clobbered by a huge downpour.

PS: It's Budapest International.

i wondered if it looked more like stratocumulus than cumulonimbus - does CB need more vertical development ? was there thunder/lightning associated with it?

Ohhhhhh yes! Nasty, evil, forky stuff coming out the bottom of it. I think there has to be substantial vertical development that is not obvious in the pic.

Another one from my recent wanderings!

Apparently someone thought it was a good idea to build this mess!

FTD, if you look just to the right of the empire state, and head back towards the hudson river...there be a fairly decent Ozzie bar (for manhatten that is..) and its a mere 3 minute stumble to my current crew hotel

The ex RAN/RAAF Macchi in Nowra being repainted in RAN colors. The Skyhawk was painted earlier in the year.
I wonder why no Macchis appeared on the civil register as warbirds? There are still a few good ones floating around.

Not taken by me. I was on board and the Army Photographer who took them gave everyone copies on disk.

Taken during Ex Predator's Gallop/Croc at SWBTA in August 2003.

No need for high speed photography!

Green on

It's not supposed to do that...

I hope the grunts weren't hungry...

Go Air Dispatch.

I see the heli boxes are still in use.

They were the first project I worked on at AMTDU in 1968.

FORTY years ago !!!!!
