FTDK

Please tell me that you do look out the window sometimes. Or are you like the airline pilots, and expect someone else to do that for you.

Bushy - I assume you're comment is in relation to my PPRuNing at 10,000' over Moranbah.

Given that I was on SSR in Class C airspace, on an IFR plan, in solid IMC (with rain) at the time, where would you suggest I should look?

I actually logged in to look at the weather radar and get an update on the winds in the hope that I might snag a better tailwind up higher - and just popped into PPRuNe for a nosey!

Dr

PS: The last time I looked out the window, all I saw was THIS!

Scared the cr*p out of me!

FTDK,
That looks remarkably like an A36 from the south west of Qld. Probably worth a couple of cartons from the pilot of it. I can collect them if you want. Especially if he never saw you.

Hah, not likely! Ask him about it the next time you see him on line.

However, the Chuckler is behind the wheel of the FTDK at the top of the page. He got his "Bonanza fix" yesterday - was like a kid in a toy shop!

Don't be surprised if he cashes the A36 and goes looking for a V35B now!

Ha...well home again after 4 weeks holidays...the highlight was definately the last days...yesterday...two Bos to Cherrabah for lunch and the day before flying the Jabiru...most of the rest of the holidays were spent ar$e up cleaning out 37 years of accrued grime from under the floor boards and in the tail of my Bo prior to corrosion repair, painting and new interior...and some aeros in a Winjeel with a mate in Mareeba.

Quote of the day yesterday was "Chuck...you do know Jabberwocky has a ZOOM lense on his camera?"

Well yeah..and your point would be?

Hi Chuck, mate this IS a photo thread... do you have any pics of the old girl going through refirb?

Speaking of your Bo, one of your mates suggested I ask you about it. I take it the job is getting out of hand?

Cheers,

Don't think I have seen SE Qld look so green at this time of the year - with so little water in the dams.
