On life support at present, not expected to survive 2007. The routes they think the Jap market will tolerate will go to Jetstar, the remainder back to QF. From what I hear of recent yields from Japan (AO and QF routes) I don't think many routes will come back to QF mainline.

Do NOT shoot the messenger!

An F/A colleague who's done & passed all the interviews for Australian and was waiting for a start date has been advised that Australian is to be absorbed back into mainline until EBA negotiations complete, with an official announcement in the next month.

Jet* the hot tip to eventually take over the routes once all the dust settles.
