The closest you'll get to what you're after is probably the Night VFR section of CASA's VFR Flight Guide. (pdf)

Dear flying_flick,

Mate, would love to help you out regarding the laws pertaining to NGTVFR, however 1) Not having accessed the relevant documentation for some time, and 2) Not practising the art of NGTVFR regularly I cannot really help...

However, does being semi-conscious and hungover to the MAX on completion of a HEAVY night's drinking, yet being able to visually identify the nearby curb/footpath(horizon ?) qualify for valuable hours towards this ? If so, then I would suggest the documents would show amendments ...

Kidding champ. Sorry I can't help. If I was living in Oz, I'd still have my own CAR'S, CAO's etc. Good luck with your search

Its amazing what pure boredom from a day home with the flu will lead you to do! ie go trawling through the Regs.

CAO Part 29.2 has Night Flying Training rules. Also Lighting req's for strips.
CAO Part 20.18 Appendix IV (page 16) gives an Instruments Required List (also goes onto Appendix V)

CAR 174a is equipment list
CAR 174B "VFR Flights at Night"
CAR 174C "Qualifications for night flying under VFR"

CAR 5.01A "Night VFR Handling requirements for unrated pilots"

Thats about all I could find in the regs, in terms of the AIPS's I've only got the Jepps so this may or may not help!

(All in the ATC tab)

AU-303 2.4 Aerodrome Lighting
AU-305 3.4 Runway Lighting
Au-315 onwards 6.0 Lighting
AU-513 12.4 Circuit training ops at night

Various night/day differences throughout Departure, Approach and Landing Procedures. I'm not quite THAT bored to go through each.

Hope that helps
