Question Where can I get a Float Plane Endorsement?

Where can I get a Float Plane Endorsement? I would prefer if the school was in Sydney, however that is not a major issue. Anyone with some good/bad experiances from a certain school when getting endorsement?

Cheers Flick

Landing in the water is not a "good experience" you should reconsider career options.

Started my flying with Henry G. at Palm Beach. You could certainly do a lot worse than him or Jon.D (is he still there?) at Air Whitsunday.

I am in the middle of an endorsement with Steve Krug at SeaWing Airways in Sydney
SeaWing Page

I have to say that I find his approach to the training to be of the most professional and comprehensive that I have seen in GA. The Beaver is a bit more expensive than the Cessna 185 advertised on the Sydney by Seaplane web-site however.

On the whole - the experience so far has been incredible, some of the best fun flying I have had a go at - especially coming in to Rose Bay by skirting the edge of the houses along Vaucluse, then picking a spot between the sailing boats, ferries, kayaks and other aircraft!
Cant wait for next Thursday, and my next lesson!

OpsNormal how can I get in contact with Henry G at Palm Beach? And did you actually conduct your lessons from Palm Beach?

Lightbulb

Call him on the phone number on the website (or 0411421958)and yes, I did my float training at PLB.

If Henry cannot do your training (I'm not sure if his aircraft is flying at the moment), I would certainly talk to Steve Krug. If floats float yer boat, then time on a Beaver would certainly be looked upon favourably.

Enjoy: http://www.dhc-2.com

If you are speaking to either Henry or Steve, say G'day from Dave in Darwin.....

OpsN.

Better be Quick!

I found this online .... For Sale...

Better be quick if Henry is selling, either he will sell soon, or not be in business. Must be going at least as well as South Pacific Seaplanes.......Those who know will know what I mean....

How many floatplane operators are there in Sydney these days? Who is operating what types? Its been awhile since I was in town so I'm a bit out of touch.

Thanks!
