IFR Renewal/C310

Can anyone tell me where I can get my IFR renewal done in a C310 apart from the RACWA?

R model would be nice...any suggestions?

Country Capital Flight Services in Tamworth, NSW have (or used to have) a C310R. Contact Judie McKenzie, their ATO & see if they'll do it. Dunno if it's worth travelling from WA though!

Wagga Air Centre, NSW. Have 3 'R' models, used for charter and bankrunning. I don't know whether you could do a renewal on them but worth ringing them. If they like you you might get a job but I wouldn't ask.

The IR test fella is excellent and will teach you something no matter your experience.

What's wrong with JCI? Tidy machine...or is it the owners that concern you?

Thanks for the replies.

Hey Dawn Raid, hope you're enjoying your new situation.
My 21st was earlier this month, just on 2 weeks ago, but I don't feel 21, for some reason.

Anyway, I didn't know that GAS could do renewals, but they could prove to be helpful. Incidentally, I HAVE sent them my paperwork.

Would/have consider/ed daisy for the job, but the one of the prospective aspirations wants specifically an 'R' endorsement...god knows why. How ya been anyway, wiz? Thought you might've paid us a visit by now...

C-520. Don't listen to Dawnie, he smokes too many Cubans and drinks way too much Port.

GAS can do the endorsments but not the renewal...unless you supply your own 'Trudy'.

Port?

The poison is Port now, hey?
Last time I checked I thought it was bourbon...and a real super size one at that!

I thought a C310 endo was a C310 endo, without any differance between models.
I would have been up there to see you blokes, but your boss doesn't answer the phone and when he does, I'm flat out. Will happen soon.
We cultured folk (me and Dawny) start with supersized bourbons and finish the evening with large ports, the evening interspersed with big, fat, tasty cigars............AAAAAH, I love being a cultered fellow.

Exclamation

Wiz,

Don't try IFR in the early [<D] models without a bit of practice; any with the canoe type tip tanks.

G'day

The old 310s with tip tanks could become a bit of a handful in IMC getting a good pilot induced rock 'n roll going .
My comments in another thread feather #3

After doing IR rating in a pig of a C320.

the tanks on mine are the same as the R models. although I don't have the luxury of the strakes and yaw damper like the R, its still not to bad as an IF platform.
Bugger on a hot day with half fuel though.

Often wondered where Judie Mackenzie went to...she occupies the PIC column for the first 1/2 dozen lines in my first logbook.

A little birdie told me that you Goldfield's pilots are some of the best pilots in the country.

Towering Q - Is it true that you are one of the best 402 drivers around? MMMMMM.....Your reputation preceeds you.
