Cool Stephen Hawking - ATIS/AERIS Monopoly

I would like to know how Stephen Hawking managed to get the sole agency to broadcast the ATIS/AERIS services across the country and whether this job was advertised publicly, or did a mate organise it for him?

He doesn't have a complete monopoly on it as a female voice does the ATIS at RAAF bases.

It could be a relation of his though!

The volmets in the UK and Europe are a laugh. The UK's not too bad but some of the accents over Europe are to be heard to be believed. Takes a few goes to get it all down.

I take it that Stephen Hawking is that American chap we hear all over Australia on various AWIS's.

He's a very busy man

I agree with Sancho...."Where IS the Doctor?"

Now THAT's weird!!!

I suppose he also had a guest spot on the song called 'How does it make you feel' by the French band 'Air'!

Where DOES he find the time?!
