Ops... back with avengence and permanently based in Darwin as of 3 weeks ago!!! and so is the car.... dammed mango season though, everyone has gone nuts up here!

mmmmm spa drink and days off! bliss

Oh yeah... silver Honda CRV in Darwin.... ROMEO...

I always did like BURNME on something that was once a car but now is a mobile rust bucket

and a back window sticker on a hot ute.... "mine... not his!"

My work truck doesnt need number plates for ID or personality.. it already has big labels down the side

The best one I have seen is TIMOV which when viewed through the rear vision mirror reads VOMIT and that just about sums up this thread.

Cheers

Red face

Spotted several years ago, a hot, red sporty something driven by a pleasing bit of eye-candy....number plate simply read 'MOIST'

She could've been a meterologist....

Thumbs down

Driving around with a mate of mine this morning, we saw "QF 1" new style NSW (maroon) plates on an older silver & maroon Ford F-150 Pick-up.
Then again, we were in Mosman - you would need to be on a QF Captains wage to keep pumping fuel into that beast at todays prices...!

Very very sad that people cannot come up with any better ways of wasting money then getting aviation related personalised number plates. Do they just not realise what a toss off they are making of themselves? I just don't understand. When I see these number plates I laugh... not at the wittiness or the cleverness of rampant stupidity, but I laugh at the poor owners who just don't realise we are laughing AT them not WITH them. The money the RTA gets from these ridiculous plates should go towards establishing psychological testing of all pilots, GA or otherwise so that we may never be subjected to such torture in the future. Cmon people there are better things in life.

Well, my number plate has "747" in it, but they're not personalised. It was just luck I guess

Likewise

Yep, same here.

I've got B-737 in my rego, but that's pure coincidence, cause the rego was issued when the car was new, when I was 3 yrs of age.

And no, I didn't buy the car just cause of that. My old one got written off and the one I bought was the only one of its type on the market when I got the $$$ from the insurance company to buy a replacement.

In NSW a aquaintance used to have a set of utes and 4x4's with plates PILOT 1 through 9. thise plates have nothin to do with aviation. Those boys drive slower than grandma on Sunday.

They escort wide and long truck loads all around the country.
