Fast track career path

Hello,

I am a commercial multi-engine instrument rated pilot with 500 TT. I am beginning to look at starting a career path. I am looking for advice on a track to get paid the most, in the shortest time allowable. Hours worked, location, etc. is no concern. Simply looking to maximize pay. Thanks in advance!

Isn't that to some degree most of our goals? Career, more money, and time off? What's your time frame for getting paid the most? Drug smuggling might be the highest short term pay if you're looking at a couple of days timeline and sitting in jail for decades isn't a concern. If you're looking at decades become a CFI, go to a regional, and get a major airline job.

If you think there's some magic plan to become rich beyond your wildest dreams, in the shortest time possible, as a pilot in an easy cush job that no one else knows about OR is going to tell some unknown guy on the internet vs their best friend or their best friend's son, you're dreaming. Each job path has pluses and minuses. Go to China as a low time guy and reduce your odds of getting hired in the U.S. Or just suck it up and chip away at the standard career development path that would have you at a major airline in 6-10 years if you're a normal/typical candidate.

misd-again is right, just got get a flying job and a reputable airline and start building time. Meet people, network, be professional, fly a safe airplane and it will all take care of itself.

And one more thing, once you hit a certain level, the pay becomes less important that quality of life. Who cares if you are making a bundle of money if you're always on the road or in a hotel (where I'm typing this btw) and can't enjoy it!
