JFK - lined up - wrong runway
Terribly written article in fact I wouldn't even call it a news article. Looks like Dec 5th Volaris 880 on FA site.

What part of
"The FAA says the Airbus A319 re-entered the flight traffic pattern and landed safely on the correct runway" are you having trouble with ? |

I know I shouldn't bother, but what is there to suggest anything about a wrong runway?
Volaris lined up on 13R, was told by tower to come left, they said (wisely in my opinion) that they were going around. On the other freq Endeavour (489?) holding short of 13R told the tower someone was lined up on the runway. Tower said 'I see that' and canceled the Brickyard 4231 takeoff clearance. Volaris 880 is told that they are lining up on the wrong runway about 24:10 into this LiveATC.net clip: http://archive-server.liveatc.net/kj...2017-1800Z.mp3 The conversation about the plane lined up to land on the departure runway starts at about 24:04 here: http://archive-server.liveatc.net/kj...2017-1800Z.mp3 |
EK207 below minimums on Canarsie approach
