Tres cool, indeed. Sorry I wasn't there, and that I really didn't get to see much of the solar eclipse other than what was on NASA TV. My best "natural light display" memories of Alaska Airlines go back to when I was living in Alaska. There was an Aurora Borealis eruption occurring circa 1988-1989, clearly visible in the taxi to the airport and even more so on the red-eye to Seattle. Totally unforgettable, as I'm sure the eclipse was for those fortunate enough to have had a glimpse.

I was down in western Oregon to watch - saw some 'unusual' contrails (curving, presumably to follow the path of totality). Obviously no idea which one might have been this Alaska flight, but there was more than one...
