Just curious..

Perhaps "legally" there is adequate separation so this question is irrelevant. But what could happen in the situation of a micro-burst or adverse weather? Would it not increase the chances of parallel landing aircraft becoming dangerously close?

Also the case of runway excursion after landing etc..

That is at SFO and they only land like that when it is VFR, when the visibility is reduced they separate them and land alternately.

I was once landing in a Cessna twin on 28R with a 747 alongside on 28L, that was a sight !!!

Synchronized landing -- should be an Olympic sport.

There are a host of factors to be considered, and criteria to be met when Simultaneous Parallel Approaches are conducted.
