Most airplanes don't havea checklist for PAX fainting or getting sick.

When we had a sick FA we almost diverted to the British Isles instead of crossing the Atlantic.

Sometimes stuff happens that is not a "planned"emergency/situation. For example, I just had a situation where the autopilot shut off and we lost LNAV/VNAV. There were no ACARS messages to indicate what led to this, and no checklist to follow. Our FMCs had reverted to pre-flight status, with nothing in their memories. After we fixed this, it happened again 20" later.

We had 2 senior captains and an engineer in the cockpit, and none of then knew why this was happening. They didn't know what to right up in the logbook, exactly. We had to figure out how to fix it on our own...no checklists or procedures to help us.

I assume you made a normal landing, and did "Pilot ****" to make the landing successful, the Aviator generation is getting smaller, and this is a perfect example of how to handle an issue... just Fly The ******* Plane(FTFP). i am so tired of listening to the new generation of pilots comlpain when Automation doesnt work, IPAD's Fail or they have to do some real Pilot **** to make a landing. This industry is losing its backbone everyday. suck it up, stop relying on computers and be a pilot for heavens sake!

I agree, if the plane still flies and the controls work you should be able to get any aircraft on the ground by being a pilot. If you have at least one engine still running you have a selection of airports to chose from. My first airplane didn't have a battery so had to prop it.

The only reason I needed a battery was to take the private pilot check ride and prove I could navigate with radios and talk to people.

I never forgot this when flying the big iron. Neither did Sully.
