Guessing it's this ship doing the honours.

I'm a long time Bronco's fan. I also have a flight test scheduled tomorrow on this airplane.

I think I'm going to get a 10 ft. tall Peyton Manning Fathead and stick it on the airplane as I'm boarding tomorrow :}

Did they catch you trying to put it on? I didn't see Manning on any of the pictures. :-)

Also, can you tell us if that frame is still being used for ongoing testing? Or what is the current future of her? Will she stay in that livery for a while as you are doing tests?

She's a beautiful bird and the Seahawks livery was quite a sight! I understand it was temporary, back to a white tail for now, but a huge show of support for the team and a massive moment of genuine pride and honor for those that built her - ;) It was a much needed morale booster for the company as well as the 12th man. It was great to watch her fly that day.

The Seahawks 747 is still sitting on the Boeing flight line, still wearing it's 12th Man paint job. It's been parked the last few weeks while they did some refurb and instrumentation removal, but it's scheduled to do some testing and a Chinese CAAC demo later this month.

Schedule says it'll fly off to storage in the desert next month (there were some rumors that a buyer had been found but the schedule still shows it going into storage). But I don't see any repainting on the schedule before it goes to storage, so presumably it'll retain it's Seahawks paint job when it goes to the desert.

BTW, I couldn't find a Manning Fathead, but I did wear a Bronco's Elway jersey on that flight test - have a nice photo that I'd post standing with that ole number 7 jersey in front of the airplane (I'd post it if I knew how)

I thought is was one they had bought back...

No, unfortunately this is the third of the 3 Atlas NTUs from a few years ago now. The other two went to Saudi Cargo.

tdracer, too bad about the Manning fathead, although with the way that game went, I don't believe even that would have helped them.

Too bad also that she looks destined for storage again. Hopefully they can find her a home sometime soon. Can you talk about what the ongoing testing is? Or what the demo is for?

Thanks for your insight!
